One of the most beneficial parts of the course has been the 1:1 coaching sessions with Debbie. Receiving the coaching along with advice has been extremely helpful in boosting my own confidence and self-esteem.
Jade, BPN NPQSL participant and school leader, February 2024
I would like to thank Debbie for our past coaching session, as without this I don’t think I would have had the courage to discuss and address these points.
NPQSL Cohort 2 school leader participant with Best Practice Network , June 2023
The course has helped me learn new skills to help my child throughout his reception year. I’ve learnt skills to help support his learning eg phonics, maths and much more. Our teacher Debbie was very helpful and also showed us useful websites and always able to offer general advice to help support me and my children. Also we’ve learnt skills to help my children become more independent and use fun activities to engage them.
Bucks Adult Learning survey response, November 2021
Since taking on the interim headship of St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School and Nursery, Debbie has successfully led the school through a period of change. This included Ofsted judging the school ‘good’ in every category (S8 March 2019) and ‘outstanding’ in their S48 inspection (March 2018).
Ciran Stapleton, CEO, St Peter Catholic Academy Trust, June 2019
Mrs Rainer’s an amazing teacher. She always listens to me and is always helpful. She teaches about God and her assemblies are special. When I’m mad I see Mrs Rainer and she makes me smile by helping me to calm down. She doesn’t just help me, she helps all of us. I’m going to miss her a lot.
Year 3 pupil, St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School and Nursery, July 2019
We are very appreciative of all that Debbie has been able to do for so many years at one of the schools in our diocese and especially as the Interim Head Teacher where her dedication and support have been invaluable.
Monsignor Kevin McGinnell, Catholic Diocese of Northampton, July 2019
Debbie has worked passionately and efficiently at a strategic level for several years and is highly effective and professional in all her dealings.
Maggie Stacey, retired Headteacher of St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School & Nursery, July 2017
An LA monitoring visit during the Autumn Term 2017 was very positive. The quality of Debbie’s leadership was endorsed during this visit, including praise for the monitoring programme, Debbie’s ‘swift and effective’ transition into the Headship role and her current strong leadership. Staff morale has remained high during this period of change.
Gloria Walker, Henley Education Consultancy Ltd, December 2017
You convinced the panel of your transformational leadership. It is very apparent that you are experienced in managing and leading curriculum change.
NPQH final assessment, May 2014
We are indebted to Debbie’s professionalism, commitment and enthusiasm for the great success that we are experiencing in training new teachers for the primary sector here in Slough.
School Fellowship awarded by Slough Grammar School, December 2006
Debbie is a fantastic project manager. We worked together for many years as part of an advertising agency team and then at my design business. Her overall project management and client liaison skills are such that she naturally handles projects from concept to completion, seemingly with ease, although I’m sure she shielded me from plenty of flak! She is extremely efficient and highly personable. Put simply, don’t look any further!
Paul Lawton, Right Angle Design, December 2019, employer to July 2002
I am eternally grateful for everything Debbie did to make the project (a redesigned Household Cavalry Journal) possible and there is no doubt that without her input, innovative ideas and great enthusiasm we would never have made it through those remorseless months.
